Dr. Lorie Valentino
Education:  Graduate of Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine 1993
Medical Interests/Strengths:  Dr. Valentino has worked in equine medicine for a number of years.
She is a native of WNC and recently moved home.
Interests:  She enjoys riding and competing in dressage with her horse, Silas, and spending time with her cats, Deetie Bug and CeCe.

​Dr. Melissa Nelson
Dr. Nelson Graduated from Michigan State  University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  She moved to the Carolinas 16 years ago, and has practiced in both South and North Carolina.  She loves surgery, internal medicine, exotics, and all the puppies and kittens.  She has a soft spot for cats and chihuahuas.  Dr. Nelson has a fluffy dog Maeve and a ginger cat, Indy.  When she isn't working, she's usually traveling the world photographing wild animals, growing flowers and vegetables, and working on her upcoming book.


Dr. M. Ella Robison
Dr. Robison graduated from Louisia na State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 with an ACVP Award of Excellence in Anatomic Pathology and a Dechra Award for Excellence in Dermatology. Her interest in veterinary medicine sparked when she began riding horses in elementary school. She has since found further interest in small animal medicine; mainly anatomic pathology, dermatology, oncology, and infectious disease. Dr. Robison enjoys running, tennis, hiking, and hanging out with her senior dog, “Sam”.
Dr. Kryssi Griffin

Kryssi Griffin accomplished her undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, studying Animal Science.  She continued on to obtain her veterinary degree at Saint Georges University in Grenada, West Indes.
Her faborite part of being a veterinarian is having the opportunity to serve the community and make a difference in people's (and their pets') lives.  She specializes in geriatric / end of life care as well as urgent care, though she loves caring for animals of all ages and walks of life.
In her free time, she enjoys time with her two children, camping, hiking,  yoga, paddle boarding and dance.  She also loves spending time with her 14 year old dog, two cats and bearded dragon.
